Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the websites and services of Found Matcha L.L.C. (“Found Matcha,” “we”), including foundmatcha.org, foundmatcha.app and the Matcha Match application (the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account or make purchases. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. One person may hold multiple roles (for example, consumer and café buyer) under one account.
2. The marketplace
Found Matcha operates a marketplace on which independent sellers, including producers, brands, importers and retailers, offer products. Unless a listing states otherwise, the seller is the merchant for that product and is responsible for its description, quality, safety, shipping and compliance. We facilitate the transaction, may process payment on the seller's behalf, and provide a single order and support experience. Each seller's terms apply to its products in addition to these terms.
Prices are shown in your selected display currency; the settlement currency and any duties or taxes are disclosed at checkout. Product availability may vary by destination.
3. Orders, cancellations and refunds
An order is accepted when we send confirmation. Because matcha is a perishable food product, returns may be limited; refund and replacement rules are shown at checkout and may vary by seller and jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
4. Gifts and store credit
Gift recipients may accept the selected item or, where offered, convert eligible value to Found Matcha store credit. Credit has no cash value, is non-transferable, and may expire where permitted by law. Unclaimed gifts are handled according to the rules shown at purchase.
5. Subscriptions
Matcha Club and Matcha Pro are recurring subscriptions billed at the interval shown at sign-up until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless the law requires otherwise. Matcha Pro is included with eligible Matcha Club memberships while the membership is active.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of content you post (notes, photos, evaluations, reviews). You grant Found Matcha a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and use that content to operate and promote the Services, subject to your visibility settings. You are responsible for content you post and must have the rights to post it.
7. Community and catalog rules
- Be accurate. Do not misrepresent origin, cultivar, harvest, certifications or any product fact.
- Do not impersonate producers, sellers or other users.
- Do not create duplicate product records or bypass catalog review.
- No harassment, spam or unlawful content.
We may remove content, suspend accounts or decline listings that violate these rules. Sellers and business users are subject to additional seller terms provided at onboarding.
8. Provenance and evaluations
Catalog information is supplied by producers, sellers, contributors and our editorial team and is labelled by source. Community ratings and Matcha Lab evaluations are observations, not certified facts. Sponsored placement is labelled as such and never presented as an objective ranking.
9. Intellectual property
The Services, including the Found Matcha, Matcha Match, Matcha Labs and The Matcha Index names, logos, software and editorial content, are owned by Found Matcha L.L.C. or its licensors. You may not copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the Services except as permitted by law.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Found Matcha disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in that case they apply to the extent permitted.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, contact us at support@foundmatcha.app so we can try to resolve it. Consumers outside the United States keep the protections of their local law.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the app before they take effect. You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
